Overview
Kathmandu Durbar Square is a historic plaza in front of the old royal palace of the Kathmandu Kingdom. It is one of three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The square is surrounded by spectacular architecture including the palace of the living goddess Kumari, ancient temples, and beautifully carved wooden structures.
